About the job

As part of the Global Market Access team this Market Access Excellence Lead will drive the development of best practices for key market access activities and lead capability building as well as training efforts across the global market access community. This role is vital in ensuring the quality of knowhow and skill-level across all global market access activities, therefore improving quality of deliverables as well as the efficiency with which they are produced through training development, globally.

As the Associate Director, Market Access Excellence you will be responsible for:

  • Developing and improving standard methodology and best practices on how key processes within market access (e.g. insight generation, strategy co-creation) should be run, constantly driving improvement of quality of deliverables 
  • Drive dissemination, sharing and uptake of best practices within market access
  • Lead periodic identification of skill gaps which exist in market access roles
  • Spearhead the development of training materials and running of training sessions to facilitate the upskilling of both general capabilities and specific, targeted capabilities across market access
  • Design know-how system which collates knowledge content and is readily accessible to members of the market access group.
  • Drive activities and outreach and outreach of for a type of “Market Access Academy”, including liaising with vendors as needed.

Experience Required

  • Solid experience in marketing, market access, and product launches
  • Experience within Healthcare and/or pharmaceutical industry
  • Experience in organizational, functional or team development in a pharmaceuticals/Market access environment
  • Excellent organizational, planning and project management skills with a strong attention to detail and ability to effectively manage multiple cross-functional projects simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated leadership in a matrix organization, able to motivate and inspire team members to high performance levels
  • Proven decision-making and strategic thinking skills leading to successful outcomes
  • Demonstrated ability to present complex issues to higher level management and contribute to high level presentations and discussions
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective collaborative relationships with team members, management and internal/external partners
  • Demonstrated ability to be a consistent high level contributor or leader of multiple projects, processes, or functions
  • Ability to lead and support cross-functional teams to deliver against common goals
  • Demonstrated experience influencing without authority
  • Proven track record of success being a high-level independent and team contributor to lead multiple project and processes
  • Experience working with teams / individuals with varied cultural backgrounds & learning styles
