About You

Due to further growth at Viforpharma we are currently hiring for a Senior Medical Manager at our offices in Glattbrugg, Switzerland. The Senior Medical Manager will contribute to the development of the medical affairs strategy within the Cardio-Renal space which is a key therapy focus for the company.

  • Input into the development and execution of the Global Cardio Renal Medical Affairs Plan
  • Development and execution of Global TA Publication Plan
  • Delivery of medical and scientific materials and programs, such as scientific symposia and advisory boards
  • Development and implementation of KOL strategies required to position the products and the company as a leader in the Cardio-Renal space
  • Development of advocates for Vifor products and ensure the communication of evidence supporting favorable positioning in treatment pathways, guidelines, and regulatory and reimbursement strategies

Key Measures of Success

1. Maximization of the brand potential

2. Strong KOL advocacy for the brand

3. Strong medical data set supporting brand positioning and messaging

4. Quality, consistency and effectiveness of communication to medical audience

5. Strong execution of medical education activities


The knowledge and skills necessary to perform the duties of this position are typically acquired through the following combination of education, experience and knowledge, or the equivalent.

Requirements for this role;
  • Scientific (Ph.D., Pharm. D.) or medical education (M.D.)
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry•
  • Experience in Medical Affairs or Clinical Development
  • Demonstrated availability to accurately and effectively evaluate medical scientific literature. Knowledge of study design and conduct
  • Proven relationship building skills with key opinion leaders
  • Basic understanding of medical aspects of therapeutic area along with willingness to develop in-depth expertise
  • Professional level in English, both in oral and in written communications
  • Excellent user of Office Programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
