Job Details

PURPOSE
The Safety Project and Resource Manager facilitates the end-to-end resource management capability, including, but not limited to, the forecast and optimal alignment of resources to newly awarded and steady-state projects, optimized business processes, the standardization of tools and templates, and automation recommendations. The Resource Manager liaises with operational heads and serves as a trusted advisor to senior management. This role has the added responsibility to drive the scope of work, objectives, timelines, and quality of deliverables necessary for the continuous improvement of the organization’s resource management capability.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provides direction for the resourcing and scheduling of varying size and complexity projects; has direct impact on customer satisfaction in the successful delivery of contracted resources and scope
  • Develop strategic resource planning scenarios and plans in conjunction with senior leaders, operations, business partners and program management to incorporate and act on workforce plans essential to ensure appropriate resources are in place when needed.
  • Perform routine analysis of resource allocation across the organization, identifying instances of over and under capacity. Engage directly with Proposals to model the impact of new RFP's on resource allocation and identify gaps/shortfalls. Perform continuous review of resource allocation to projects, highlighting changes and/or discrepancies requiring action.
  • Work with departments to establish/implement appropriate task and resource scheduling tools within the department that seamlessly integrate with higher level resource planning functions. Routinely engage with operational teams and business partners to assure data integrity on existing programs and that all significant changes in scope are reflected in the high-level resource plan.
  • Support process standardization and improvement; document standard operating procedures for the resource planning and scheduling functions  
  • Work with department heads to assure that any needed new capabilities are identified, and plans are in place to acquire those capabilities. Provide tactical plans for executing resource deployment strategies.
  • Ensures that resource planning and scheduling technology and systems remains aligned with the business needs of the organization; suggests improvements to senior management, and executes improvement plans
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
  • Working knowledge of resource management, planning, scheduling, and forecasting
  • Working knowledge of end-to-end pharmacovigilance operations, roles, and responsibilities 
  • Project Management aptitude, experience and technical proficiency required; project management certification (PMP) and/or LEAN certification preferred
  • >3 years Safety/Pharmacovigilance experience or equivalent; CRO, pharma, bio-pharma experience preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel required; working knowledge of MS Project preferred but not required
  • Involves internal and external stakeholders (customers), requiring confidence, poise and presentation skills
  • Good communication skills, written and verbal
  • Must be flexible, adaptable, resilient
  • Working hours: General shift with flexibility to accommodate global colleagues and customers
  • Location: EU | Travel: Limited, not routine
