I am exclusively collaborating with a dynamic and innovative Biotech company, specialising in Immuno-oncology. My client are utilising T Cell Receptor (TCR) cell therapies; in particular, TCR guided Natural Killer cells (TCR-NK) as an allogeneic cellular therapeutic option for a variety of solid tumour types.

We seek an experienced academic with Natural Killer Cell biology expertise. You will be a pivotal player in supporting the development of next-generation TCR-NK cell platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead investigations of enhancing the current pipeline process (TCR discovery through to process development)
  • Heighten the potential of the TCR-NK product
  • Collaborate with process development of the TCR discovery and pre-clinical teams on the development of the pipeline progression and platform
  • Enhance TCR identification ensuing T cell cloning to a higher throughput process
  • Engineer and scale vectors (viral and non-viral) for the introduction of TCR and accessory cargo into NK cells
  • Develop next generation additional features into TCR-NK cells
  • Provide expertise on technical elements and future direction of experiments
  • Collaborate closely with academic and commercial partners
  • Act as the internal and external expert of technical and theoretical developments in allogeneic cell therapies

Your Background

  • PhD in cellular biology, molecular biology, Biotechnology or related area
  • For the senior scientist position, at least 3 years post PhD relevant engineered cell experience, industry experience is an advantage
  • A strong understanding of immunology and cell therapy processes, with experience in T Cell or NK cell biology
  • Expertise in T and/or NK cell culture and expansion
  • Expertise in retroviral and lentiviral transfer required
  • Expertise in molecular biology is strongly preferred
  • Experience in gene expression assessments (e.g. RNAseq)
  • An appetite to work in a dynamic biotech company
  • Flexibility to be based at the company’s headquarters and laboratories in Norway
