Medical Director/Associate Director (home-based)

Hobson Prior are looking for a Medical Director/Associate Director to join a CRO on a permanent basis where you will be required to work remotely within the UK and 1 day in the office every other week in Oxford.

Please note that to be considered for this role you must have the right to work in this location.

Job Responsibilities:

• Accountable to act as Medical Monitor for Phase I-IV and RWD clinical trials supporting Clinical Development projects (some very limited out of business hours MM responsibilities may occasionally be required).
• To provide Medical Review of SAE/ICSRs for a range of different products, working with the pharmacovigilance group.
• Act as Medical Approver of patient eligibility requests for Early Access Programs (some very limited out of business hours responsibilities may occasionally be required).
• Act as the Medical Reviewer providing medical/technical review of promotional and educational materials for Medical Affairs pharma clients.
• To provide Medical Input and Review into new client project proposals and bid defences (eg Clinical Development, EAP), ideally based on prior experience.
• Where possible (ie with prior relevant experience) and where required act as QPPV for clients and perform all medical drug safety related activities as needed to support the project.
• Any other reasonable medical/clinical task as approved by your Line Manager.

• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commercial awareness and customer focus.

Requirements:

• Medically Qualified.
• GMC registered.
• Higher scientific or medical qualification ideally.
• Experience of working within or with a Pharma, CRO or Biotech company.
• Experience within Clinical Development and/or EAPs and/or Medical Affairs and/or Pharmacovigilance.
• Clinical practice experience.
