If the answer is "YES", we have an exciting opportunity for someone to join our growing Immunology and Immunotoxicology department as a Principal Investigator in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire. As a Principal Investigator (PI) in Immunology and Immunotoxicology (I&I) will have an overarching view of all aspects of acquisition, analysis, reporting and interpretation of I&I from preclinical and clinical studies. This senior position is responsible for establishing and maintaining the highest level of quality in data capture and interpretation and reporting, and provides advice and support to external and internal customers involved with I&I.

Individual will have a responsibility to conduct work in compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, and specifically those regulations (e.g. GLP or GCP) specified in the study plans, protocols or working agreements governing the work in which they are involved.

In this role, there is an extensive requirement to work with many other groups as part of the integrated Covance by Labcorp global strategy, which will encompass major divisions within the group. Working parties include colleagues from Harrogate, Muenster, Madison, Somerset, Greenfield, Shanghai and external investigator sites.

Education/Qualifications:
PhD preferred, or equivalent degree in immunology, immunotoxicology or related field, or Masters or Bachelor's degree in related discipline plus extensive years of laboratory experience preferred. Experience may be substituted for education.
Experience:
  • Previous laboratory experience in drug discovery/research areas using I&I techniques
  • Knowledge of drug discovery in the field of immunomodulatory compounds and their potential toxicity is preferred
  • Knowledge and experience with Good Laboratory Practise and Good Clinical Practise is preferred but not essential
  • Previous experience in immunology and immunotoxicology is preferred
  • Have excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Ideally have previous experience with client interactions
  • Technical expertise in immunology and immunotoxicology.
