The Director of Clinical Sciences will work alongside CRO and Clinical Operations team to support all aspects of clinical trials.

They will assist clinical development document preparation, Data Listing review and Data Cleaning in Clinical Trials, and Educate the ulcerative colitis / IBD (Inflammatory Bowel disease) medical community on the company, the program and potentially in other disease areas related to inflammation.

Scope of Responsibilities:

  • Develop relationships to ensure interest and commitment from sites/investigators for study enrolment and open communication
  • Answer immediate questions on protocol and program (Safety and specific patient eligibility questions) including providing feedback on specific sites and regional trends/thoughts/paradigms
  • Establish relationships with all IBD/UC KOLs in territory; Establish new KOL relationships where appropriate
  • Provide clinical and scientific support in all aspects of the clinical development program, including the design, preparation, conduct, monitoring, analyses, and reporting of the studies
  • Provide input to protocol endpoint consideration for future program studies
  • Participate in regular meetings with clinical operations, CRO, others
  • Visit sites regularly alongside other relevant staff members and investigators


  • Advanced degree (MD, PhD, Pharm D)
  • 10+ yrs experience - Good clinical development knowledge and experience including study start up and other clinical trial execution
  • Therapeutic expertise: IBD, GI inflammation, Immunology (preferred, not required)
  • Relationship builder/experience expanding a company’s footprint
  • Up to 30 % travel required (includes travel to Eastern Europe & Russia)
