The Commercial Manageris responsible for the development and implementation of the Country Commercial Plan, promoting the drug in the space of HIV according to the product strategy to achieve KPIs and sales targets. Further the role will be responsible to identify and target Key Accounts to optimize the profitability of key customers and manage the full spectrum of Healthcare Professional relationships. The role is to focus on the broader commercial strategy and to develop and implement clinical business cases and selling strategies for Key Account Customers/Clinics and referral networks. The Commercial Country Lead will be required to develop business/clinical networks supporting Medical advocacy and key opinion leader plans, including medical experts from customer or academic communities. The role will also be responsible to continually meet with targeted customers to maintain current understanding of their needs and expectations to proactively influence customer-buying decisions, according to set guidelines and regulations. The Commercial Country Leadwill attend meetings and training sessions; be responsible for keeping the gained medical and business knowledge level up to highest standard. The position will also be responsible for the complete administrative requirements and comply with guidelines and policies as set forth by line manager and company as a whole.

Job Requirements

Along with demonstrated initiative, Play-to-win mentality and Well-developed ethical business standards the ideal candidate has:
  • Bachelor degree or comparable level of experience.
  • Preferably (para) medical education.
  • Minimum of 5-years sales experience in specialist market, preferably as Key Account Manager in rare disease setting
  • Experience in the space of infectious disease, HIV, HCV, virology, immunology is a plus
  • Ability to access funding for new and existing drugs, with a demonstrable understanding of funding processes
  • Proven experience to develop and deliver a national account plan in a specialist therapeutic area
  • Ability to navigate complex environments, negotiate, influence relevant decision makers
  • Personal resilience to rejection and changes of direction.
  • Ability to listen, take and give criticism.
  • Good interaction with the team and in particular her/his Medical Affair counterpart.
  • Ability and willingness to work autonomously to achieve commercial goals
  • Knowledge of local promotional guidelines and regulations.
  • Adequate computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and use of new media.
  • Thorough understanding of national and local healthcare systems
  • Exposure to international team cooperation is a plus.
  • Additional roles / experience in special assignments in medical or marketing desirable.
  • Fluency in English on top of the local language, both written and oral
