We have an exciting new opportunity for an experienced Brand Manager to join the UK Oncology Brand team to lead the launch of a new product within pancreatic cancer.

The role of the Senior Brand Manager at Astellas will be responsible for developing brand management delivery and performance excellence for the assigned brand/s in close partnership with the EMEA/Global Marketing Excellence CoE team, and contribute to the cross-functional co-creation of the rolling 3-year brand plan driven by the EMEA Brand team lead, ensuring the recommendations developed to meet the needs of the market.

Key activities for this role:

  • Represent the EMEA/Global TA Brand Plan for the Affiliate, aligning brand priorities and market requirements
  • Develop and execute the operational brand plan in-market, through localisation/ adaptation of EST-C and Global-level materials and initiatives, delivering a consistent and effective tactical execution plan for the Therapy Area
  • Ensure Brand Teamwork collaboratively with key stakeholders, co-creating, reviewing, and contributing to the continuous development of core campaign materials aligned to the latest overall business strategy
  • Monitor locally-specific initiatives for alignment with the Brand Strategy/positioning
  • Co-lead the local cross-functional brand group that includes B&MI, Sales Brand Champions, Medical, and Market Access, colleagues
  • Engage with and manage the relationship with key local customers and KOLs to develop insights and services
  • Work collaboratively to align the Affiliate and EMEA/Global Brand team on brand priorities and market requirements
  • Ensure all marketing channels identified for use locally (including Digital) are aligned to the Therapeutic Area and Brand strategies and are approved by the EMEA/Global Brand Team
  • Work with external agencies to ensure brand content (including Digital) is localised for Affiliate needs, and partner with the Customer Excellence Lead and Oncology TA Director to ensure appropriate training is provided for the country TA Field-force, to support their use of the content within the operational Brand Plan
  • Ensure local brand performance meets agreed standards and monitor in-line with brand KPIs and provide regular feedback to the EMEA Brand lead on opportunities to continually improve performance
  • Role model implementation of the new business operating model, driving horizontal/vertical/virtual collaboration and sharing best practice across the business, ensuring close collaboration to resolve cross-functional strategy, operations, or behavioral issues
  • Drive a culture of Ethics and Compliance, ensuring Integrity in Action is actively applied in all initiatives and proactively address non-compliance.

Requirements for the role:

· Sound experience in a team leadership, operational role in the Pharma sector with strong patient/ customer focus, including budget & forecast delivery for a brand portfolio.

· Degree or equivalent experience in business or medical degree

· Experience of gastric cancer ideally but at least experience of solid tumour oncology.

· Evidenced success in anticipating customer needs to provide high-quality products/services to exceed expectation

· A successful track record of developing individual, team, and organisational capability

· Significant experience of contributing to the development and implementation of brand strategy to reflect local views and achieve exceptional results to budget

· Proven track record of planning, managing product launches, measurement, and revenue growth

· Demonstrated experience of managing the brand life cycle within a market

· Experience of contributing/delivering to stretch KPIs, to sustainably grow the brand and maintain performance

· End-to-end project management experience
