UK-based CRA – German speaker essential – Small UK CRO

Upsilon Global are seeking German speaking CRA based in the UK to join a growing London-based CRO. Our partner have an exciting portfolio of biotech, pharma and academic sponsor partners working in oncology, infectious diseases, Covid-19 and rare diseases, and they are looking for an ambitious, hardworking and motivated CRA/SCRA to join the team and help drive their UK growth.

They have an important study running in Germany and need a German speaker to do remote monitoring from the UK, with approximately 5/6 visits to Germany planned over the next 2 years (subject to Covid-19 developments). In addition, you’ll likely be assigned to their early-phase oncology unit and manage local UK sites, typically only conducting 5-6 MVs per month.

This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone who wants to be noticed and advance their career, as you’ll be working closely with the management team, meaning progression opportunities into project management will come very quickly. The progression and development opportunity is huge as, given their plans to expand further over the next 5 years, and their internal promotion over external recruitment attitude.

You’ll have the opportunity to work full cycle, from submissions through to close-out, with a variety of different responsibilities afforded to you, no matter what your experience level. If you’re looking to grow, develop and increase your skillset, this is exactly the company for you.

Main responsibilities

  • Perform all types of site visits including, but not limited to, qualification visits, initiation visits, monitoring visits, motivational visits, audit support visits, and termination visits.
  • To identify potential sites for a proposed study in conjunction with the Project Team, and conduct feasibility assessment of sites as required
  • Ensure that all study related communication including e-mail is tracked, printed and filed as required
  • The set-up and coordination of Phase I-IV clinical trials across the UK
  • To track patient recruitment by contacting investigators as specified for the study, and discuss potential study risks and opportunities with the Project Manager and LCRA
  • To liaise with all other appropriate departments to ensure the smooth running of the study
  • Mentor and train other CRA’s as and when required
  • Perform document submissions to local authorities
  • To assemble files and ensure documents for the trial master file accurately reflect the progress of the study
  • Other Ad-Hoc CRA duties

Education and Qualifications

  • A BSc or BA degree in a lifescience related field
  • 2-3 years’ experience as a clinical research associate
  • Sound knowledge of ICH/GCP and regulatory requirements
  • Experience using clinical trial management systems

Other skills and abilities

  • The ability to communicate effectively in English and German
  • Good computer literacy with working knowledge of PCs, Windows and Microsoft Office
  • Full UK driving licence
