Medical Affairs Manager - Berkshire

A new opportunity has arisen within their Medical Affairs function for a Medical Affairs Manager at the location shown.

Reporting to the Medical Director, the Medical Affairs Manager will provide operational management and leadership to a Medical Affairs team and ensures that team activities meet objectives of both internal and external customers. This is a multifaceted and highly interactive internal-facing role. The post holder will work closely with the commercial and medical colleagues, acting as the point of contact for management and strategy of the medical affairs team.

The Medical Affairs Manager shall also provide input into the business, jointly agreeing, developing and implementing strategic direction for both the key marketed products and assets within the clinical development programme.

Essential Candidate Requirements:

  • A GMC registered medical doctor, GPhC registered pharmacist or PhD-level scientist with appropriate therapy related research background
  • Solid experience in medical affairs, with extensive managerial experience
  • Continuous record of career achievement through appropriate career positions
  • An excellent understanding of the changing UK healthcare environment
  • Commercially astute, with strong organisational and prioritising skills, and the ability to succeed in a highly results-driven environment
  • Demonstrated ability to develop business plans, manage budgets, allocate financial and human resources
  • Demonstrated ability to analyse information in detail and constructively solve problems
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively present information to senior management and external audiences
