What you will do

In this vital role you will be the local content expert for the product (s) and co-lead the development of local brand strategies with the Brand Leads, adapting global and regional strategies to reflect local priorities for their product(s) and will support execution of those strategies to maximize Amgen's value proposition covering inline and pipeline assets across our extensive and innovative Haematology Oncology portfolio.

  • Co-leader of the cross functional brand team for their product(s)
  • Engage with key external stakeholders and organisations for strategic discussions
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders in product(s) lifecycle management plans
  • Work with the Value and Access team to ensure optimal patient access to our products
  • Participate in the development of European strategies and tactics in close collaboration with the European Medical Lead
  • Work with local and global study management in the development of evidence generation plans and the review of investigator sponsored study proposals
  • Work with local Clinical Operations team to identify best sites for future company sponsored trials
  • Oversee in-sourced/outsourced Medical programmes and logistics
  • Deliver therapy area and/or product specific Medical training
  • Deliver medical expertise for review of promotional and non-promotional materials

Be part of our team

You will work within our UK and Ireland affiliate Haematology Oncology Business Unit, having matrix relations with Marketing and Value and Access colleagues within the UK and Ireland affiliate as well as our EU Hub.  You may have direct line management responsibilities for the field based MSL team. The role will report to the UK and Ireland Medical Director for Haematology Oncology.

What we expect of you

We are all different, yet we all use our unique contributions to serve patients. What we seek in you as an experienced  Pharmaceutical Physician, are these qualifications and skills:

  • Medical degree and full GMC registration
  • Prior experience gained in a pharmaceutical or biotechnology company
  • ABPI Final signatory

Proven experience and skills needed:

 

  • Medical affairs experience, gained within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology company
  • Previous managerial experience directly managing people and/or leadership experience leading teams, projects, programmes or directing the allocation of resources
  • Proven experience as a final ABPI signatory
  • Product/therapeutic area knowledge within Haematology Oncology, either from clinical work or previous pharmaceutical industry experience preferred.
