We have a unique and exciting opportunity for you to take on the global commercial leadership for our blockbuster DDR medicine within our primary tumour area of Ovarian Cancer.

In this role you will have the opportunity to lead a transformation in the management of Ovarian Cancer around the world as we continue to launch our new indications and pioneer a new personalised treatment approach. Beyond this you will work with our internal and external partners to impact the broader ovarian cancer ecosystem to help us strive to our ambition of optimising the experience and survival of women with ovarian cancer globally.

Core Responsibilities:

As the global commercial lead for our DDR medicine within Ovarian Cancer you will be responsible for:

  • Leading the cross-functional team to develop and deliver a clear and compelling global brand strategy and operational plan within Ovarian Cancer with our alliance partner

  • Ensuring strong commercial input into the global product team to shape scenario planning, development plans and key investment decisions

  • Ensuring effective cross-functional execution of the global operational plan

  • In partnership with the global analytics and insights team, setting the global ambition for the brand within Ovarian Cancer across all indications and ensuring clarity for country forecasts and financial planning

  • Ensuring strong commercial input into the Ovarian Cancer tumour strategy for the broader AstraZeneca business

  • In partnership with cross-functional team members ensuring clear and compelling pricing and market access strategy, diagnostics strategy and medical plan.

  • Ensuring country launch readiness and launch excellence in partnership with the regions/major markets

  • Ensuring understanding of country performance esp. post launch to ensure learnings are shared globally and global strategy/deliverables are revised as needed

  • Leading an effective global brand team

  • Modelling the behaviours necessary to guide a successful alliance partnership with Merck

In addition you will be the commercial lead responsible for:

  • Leading all aspects of the strategy, market readiness and commercial aspects of key governance interactions for LCM opportunities in the ovarian cancer area

  • Leading the development and execution of the Pan-tumour strategy and plan that over-arches all our indications for the brand

  • Leading and managing an associate director to support deliver of these responsibilities

Essential skills/experience and qualifications:

  • High learning agility

  • Sound strategic thinking and judgement

  • Leadership maturity with the ability to set clear direction, lead cross functional teams, and inspire commitment to deliver

  • Broad commercial acumen - with evidence of strong commercial execution on a country level and complex problem-solving skills

  • Launch experience (ideally globally and locally)

  • Commercial leadership and marketing experience within a country

  • Experience in setting up short- and long-term strategic plans.

  • Experience across multiple promotional channels (Personal, Non-Personal and Digital, Patient awareness)

  • Great oral and written communication skills

  • Ability to manage multifaceted projects

  • Proven experience and success in partnering with a broad base of external customers including patients, prescribers, payors, providers

  • In depth knowledge of diagnostics and personalised healthcare environment

  • Bachelor's degree required; preferably in business or scientific graduate degree with a business-related post graduate qualification.

  • Experience in pharmaceutical industry and experience in oncology marketing and/or strategy function or life sciences management consulting

  • Fluency in English

  • Experience of Ovarian Cancer - desirable but not essential

  • Experience/understanding of early drug development- desirable but not essential

  • P&L management experience - desirable but not essential
