Job Details
What you will be doing
- Maintain computer systems, and databases running bioinformatics solutions
- Generate novel workflows and analysis pipelines
- Manage backups and security updates for own storage and servers, in addition to cloud-based staging and production systems
- Automation of routine maintenance, monitoring and status reporting through generation of scripts
- Testing of software
Your profile
- Relevant degree (BSC/MSC or equivalent),
- Genuine passion for software, especially security and performance
- Highly proficient in at least one scripting language is mandatory eg. python, perl,
- Shell scripting or other scripting/programming languages is a plus
- Knowledge/ experience of SQL is required
- Experience in Linux administration is required
- Cloud-based experience is highly beneficial
We are looking for someone with not only technical skills but an hands-on individual with excellent interpersonal skills, and with a passion to work in diverse and motivated teams. We need someone who can work in English (C1) and German language skills are a plus.
