Covance by Labcorp is recruiting a Senior External Data Specialist homebased in EMEA.
  • Ensures electronic vendor data contains all protocol specified parameters, is in correct format and data populates to the specified fields and patients
  • May support LDM to develop the Data Transfer Agreement and Data Transfer Specifications for vendor data
  • Review data discrepancies generated by study specific edit checks for External data and perform the subsequent query management process in resolving the data
  • May support LDM to perform validation review of the electronically transmitted data for a sample of total number of patients in the study for loading
  • Develop and test, study specific edit checks used for Local lab data review and may support LDM with External vendor reconciliation as
  • Review of laboratory edit checks, laboratory status reports and laboratory
  • Work with Clinical staff to obtain local laboratory normal ranges for all sites. Research and resolve discrepant information concerning the normal ranges, and maintain proper
  • Edit and perform QC for local laboratory normal Verify that normal ranges are properly attached to the patient results in the local lab data collection module.
  • May support LDM to communicate to vendors and client problems involving data transfers, data point issues and validation
  • Serve as client contact for project meetings and lab status
  • Assist with training new team
  • Provide guidance/mentoring and training to Level 1,2 and Associate EDS
  • May assist LDM in study set-up and build
  • Perform other duties as required by the
Education/Qualifications:
  • Medical Laboratory Technology certificate

Associates or Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience to successfully perform the key responsibilities of the job
Experience:
  • Previous experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience to successfully perform the key responsibilities of the
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of data and information during interactions with staff at all
  • Demonstrated computer literacy
  • Accurate keyboarding
  • Thorough understanding of medical
  • Understanding of ICH-GCP principles
  • Demonstrates ability to provide training for EDS levels 1 and 2
  • Ability to manage EDS team for larger client
