International Pharmaceutical Manufacturer based in Hertfordshire seeks and experienced Training Team Lead.

About the role:

  • Day-to-day management of a team of training specialists with support from the Head of Business Improvement.
  • Able to develop & deliver training content across the organisation.
  • Support the development & delivery of the site training plan in compliance with relevant procedures.
  • Identify process improvements, manage change and introduce industry best practice within the training function.

Duties may include:

  • Day-to-day management of a team of training specialists with support from the Head of Business Improvement.
  • Ownership and execution of day-to-day administration duties & activities associated with leading a Training team.
  • In conjunction with the Head of Business Improvement, Learning & Development Lead & ELT, support the development, establishment & delivery of the annual site training plan.
  • Support the delivery of the annual site training plan in accordance with the agreed & required targets.
  • Promote an environment of collaboration and cross-functional working within the Training team.
  • Create an environment where team members can challenge and propose new ideas.
  • Identify process improvements, manage change and introduce best practice standards with regards to training across the organisation.
  • Support the Orientation program and ensure effective delivery for new starts.
  • Support the development & maintenance of role specific curricula & the employee learning experience.
  • The ability to support the development & delivery of training content across the organisation.
  • Identification of suitable courses & training programmes that serve the needs of the Operations group.
  • In collaboration with the Quality group, ensure an effective cGMP training programme is in place, developed & maintained.
  • In collaboration with the EH&S group, ensure an effective safety training programme is in place, developed & maintained.
  • Ensure training data and records - both in electronic or hardcopy form - are maintained and comply with the current cGMP requirements.
  • Provision of reports pertaining to training activities.
  • Promote & enforce a culture where compliance with Quality, Health & Safety and environmental policies / standards is the norm.
  • Participate in cross-functional meetings and provide content to enhance effectiveness of collaboration across all interested value streams and stakeholders.

Skills and experience:

  • Degree or equivalent professional qualification in a relevant science or adult education discipline.
  • An accredited qualification in instructional design or related field.
  • Significant experience (5 Years minimum) and expertise of key manufacturing processes.
  • Significant experience (5 years minimum) within a GMP manufacturing environment.
  • A knowledge of cGMP / regulatory compliance.
  • Experience of change management and associated processes / requirements.
  • Experience of operating within the requirements of a QMS (Quality Management System).
  • Delivery of training as part of a team.
  • Experience of operating within a learning management system (LMS).
  • Ability to manage, lead & work within a team environment.
  • Able to communicate ideas & build effective relationships with colleagues of all levels within the organisation.
  • Co-ordination and support of cross-functional teams built to support the delivery of training objectives on time and within any pre-determined budget.
  • The ability to design, develop & deliver training content.
  • The ability to evaluate & measure training compliance.
  • Planning and prioritisation of tasks / activities to achieve the required project outputs.
  • Resilient to change within a dynamic work environment.
  • Initiation & management of change control process within area of responsibility
