Main Duties and Responsibilities:

We are looking for a Senior Contracts Specialist to join our Contracts department.

You will be responsible for delivering high quality outputs for Simbec-Orion's internal and external stakeholders of the Contracts Department. You will drive process improvement and capabilities of the Contracts Department by continuously increasing efficiencies.

You will also ensures that Simbec-Orion fulfils its obligation to provide stakeholders with legally compliant outputs including for more complex contracts and will deputise for the Head of Contracts.

Minimum Requirements:

Essential:
  • Bachelors Degree in Humanities; Sciences or Social Sciences
  • Legal Training and/or qualification i.e. Law A-level or equivalent, Law degree, Graduate Diploma in Law or Legal Practice Course
  • Recognised legal practise qualification (Solicitor/Barrister, FILEX or equivalent in other jurisdictions)
  • Computer skills - good level of word and Excel knowledge
  • Experience in drafting and negotiating commercial and project contracts
  • Demonstration of desire to work as a team
  • Previous experience of coaching and mentoring

Desirable:
  • International contract drafting and management experience
  • Experience drafting and reviewing contracts in the Pharmaceutical or CRO industry
  • Language skills (European)
  • Previous line management experience
