Brand Lead - Oncology - Berkshire

Our client benefits from small pharma attitude and agility alongside the large presence, influence, and respect of a global organisation. They are a specialty care global business unit, dedicated to high quality support of patients with rare diseases, multiple sclerosis, cancer, and immune diseases.

There is now an exciting opportunity available to lead the commercialisation of their new product as it prepares to be launched into the breast cancer market.

You will develop the brand strategy in line with the global brand strategy and customer/patient needs. You will build and lead the cross-functional brand team to define the operational plan ensure the successful delivery of the plan to produce short and long-term sales and profit objectives.

Key Responsibilities will include:

  • Develop a deep understanding of key accounts, payers, patient advocacy groups, professional associations, policy makers and develops an individual development plan for the top clinical opinion leaders for the therapy area
  • Lead the brand planning cycle with the cross-functional team and developing a successful Brand Strategic Plan where relevant, implement the launch excellence framework to build leading launch plans
  • Translate the Brand Plan into a strong actionable operational plan
  • Identify and consider the strategic value of all possible potential channels for targeted customer groups
  • Uses the right mix of promotional channels in a planned and complimentary way

To excel in this role, you will need to have:

  • Substantial and sustainable sales/marketing/commercial/market research experience that should include working on a diverse brand mix (experience of new and mature), product launch experience, market analytical and forecasting ability, flair for KOL management, ideally experience within relevant therapeutic area
  • Ability to work within a highly scrutinised and challenged, (global and UK & Ireland) team in order to meet the demands associated with a major pharmaceutical product launch
  • Strong strategic marketing, analytical and planning skills
  • Leadership of multidisciplinary teams to effective implementation of strategy
  • Knowledge and understanding of the modern NHS/HSE/Department of Health Ireland and how to influence it favourably
