Job Details

Provides support to Site Start-Up (SSU) operational and financial processes, data reporting, and metrics. Assists in the conduct of operational and financial functions supporting global SSU operations. Compiles and disseminates standard and specific reports on SSU business unit performance. Enters and extracts data from standard Company information systems. Responds to requests for information, performs other tasks as designated and proactively addresses emerging requirements.

Essential Functions:
  • Monitors SSU business operational and financial performance indicators to detect critical SSU business issues by collecting and analyzing data
  • Audit and quality focus
  • Creates reports and presentations on performance utilizing standard PC based software, spread sheets and graphics within established timelines
  • Produces ad hoc reports as required with limited supervision.
  • Disseminates reports, presentations and other information to the SSU business unit utilizing
  • electronic mail, information management and collaboration systems.
  • Reviews, prioritizes and responds to electronic mail entering the SSU Operations Mailbox.
  • Maintains SSU Operations electronic collaboration systems.
  • Supports SSU project reviews with limited facilitation, scheduling, action item recording, and product
  • preparation.
  • Supports SSU project planning, resourcing and request for proposal processes.
  • Participates in meetings as a facilitator, action item recorder, and/or contributor.
  • Leads tasks in support of larger SSU business unit initiatives.
  • Builds and maintains a strong collaboration network with operations, finance, human resources and project personnel throughout the Company.
  • Conducts training on operational and financial management tools and processes.
  • May assist with resourcing as well as conducting SSU Project Planning Meetings and other Trusted Process Events.

Other Responsibilities:
  • Performs other work-related duties as assigned. Minimal travel may be required (up to 25%).
  • BA/BS in the life sciences, computer science, information technology, or business administration fields or equivalent combination of education and training.
  • Moderate CRO industry experience and/or some experience working in an SSU or clinical trials environment.
  • Experience with audits
  • Quality issue raising/resolution experience
  • Root cause analysis
  • SOP experience
  • Good Excel capabilities (Pivot tables, Excel formulas)
  • Analytical skills, flexibility and the ability to handle multiple tasks to meet deadlines while delivering high quality work in a dynamic environment are essential.
  • Presentation, documentation, influencing, and interpersonal skills as well as a team-oriented approach.
  • Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite, web-based systems, voicemail, Email and Internet are necessary.
