Freelance Medical Monitor - Anywhere in Europe - Ophthalmology

THE ROLE

We are currently recruiting for a rare opportunity for an experienced Freelance Medical Director (or Senior Medical Director) to move into an Ophthalmology role in a mid-size CRO where you are an active part of a team whilst working remote as the dedicated trial medical monitor.

You will have the opportunity to work with niche bio-techs and pharma's as clients and gain invaluable exposure to the future of industry. You will also be a part of CRO who's is currently focusing on Ophthalmology.

Your tasks will be inclusive of, but not limited to:

• Act as the Medical Monitor on both domestic & global assigned trials
• Work alongside Medical/Safety to process (SAE's)
• Provide input into clinical development programs, study protocols, research papers etc
• Proposal generation, feasibility assessments, review of proposals/contracts for medical services
• Attend meetings with sponsors as required.
• Review and/or assist in the preparation of final study reports (CSRs) & other relevant documentation.
• Work alongside Business Development to contribute to Bid Defence preparations

ABOUT YOU

• Phase II & III medical monitoring experience
• 5 years experience with Ophthalmology trials
• High attention to detail
• Medical Doctorate is a MUST
