Astellas is currently hiring a Product Manager - Oncology to be based in Cairo, Egypt. The role will be reporting directly into the Commercial Manager, Egypt.

Purpose of the Position:

  • Generate and gather insights, opportunities, risks and needs from the country markets and give input to the Area Marketing Director or Associate Marketing Director to ensure representation in the EMEA brand co-creation team
  • Co-develop and execute the operational brand plan in-market through localisation/ adaption of EMEA-level materials and initiatives
  • Lead and manage the local cross-functional brand group, ensuring inclusion of Sales Brand Champions, Medical, Business & Market Insights and Market Access
  • Engage with and manage the relationship with key local customers and KOLs to develop insights and services
  • Champion the brand in-country through an expertise in all aspects of the brand within the appropriate market, providing a direct interface with the Field force management team
  • Localise brand content according to Affiliate regulatory needs and ensure training is provided to the Field force team to support their use of the content within the operational brand plan
  • Contribute to the development of the Affiliate brand forecast
  • Partner with peer Brand Managers in the Area Affiliates and Area TA Director or Associate Marketing Director to develop the recommendations for the brand budget allocation

Requirements for the Role:

  • Minimum 4 - 5 years experience in marketing, product management, branding within the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Medically qualified personnel (Pharmacists or MD). Medical doctor is an asset
  • Experience in Egypt is mandatory
  • Preferably knowledgeable within Oncology. Experience in other therapeutic areas relevant to Astellas such as Urology, Haematology, Anti-infectives will also be considered as long as you have  a proven track record of planning, managing product launches, measurement and revenue growth
  • Should have previous experience working for a global organization and be able to operate in a matrix team set.
  • Strong collaborative skills: able to work cross-functionally and with virtual teams
  • Excellent communication & presentation skills and ability to develop and maintain good working relations with internal and external stakeholders
