Company Overview

My client is a medical technology company that develop manufacture and market smart connected diagnostic assays. The company is completely radicalising the point of care and eradicate the need for blood labs. Their instruments are being shipped to third world countries, changing and potentially saving the lives of those in need. In September 2019 there were 250 employees globally and there are now 1000+ people with a plan to be 20,000 in the next couple of years.

Purpose of the role

They have recently launched a new platform and are looking for qualified and enthusiastic scientists who can make a meaningful contribution to the upscaled evolution of this already successful and progressive company. You will be assisting in the development of diagnostic assays for the as part of the assay development team.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop assay methodologies and make improvements
  • Create and maintain quality records
  • Meter testing of batches and develop new testing protocols
  • Analyse experimental data generated and collaborate with the senior scientist
  • Help less experienced members of the assay development
  • Completing COSHH assessments as and when required

Must have experience

  • A degree qualified in a relevant scientific discipline
  • Knowledge of diagnostic immunoassay technology
  • Knowledge and understanding of the process of iterative design optimization
  • Ability to write clear and concise protocols for complex assay methodologies
