My client, a growing Molecular Diagnostics company in Cambridge are currently looking to expand their Laboratory operations team in the form of a laboratory Manager.
Your duties as the Laboratory Manager will be varied however your key responsibilities are overseeing laboratory functions to ensure the smooth day to day running of the laboratory and to offering support to Scientists. You will take primary responsibility for preventative equipment maintenance and servicing to maintain optimal performance and to ensure all laboratory infrastructure is maintained and calibrated to necessary schedules.
Handling deliveries and managing our inventory to budgetary requirements ensuring all aspects are being met alongside the management of laboratory safety through encouraging the use of safety measures, adopting a quality mindset and through execution of up-to-date policies and procedures to ensure compliance are other aspects of the role.
Furthermore, you will be focused on assessing ongoing training requirements in relation to equipment, H&S relevant aspects and laboratory operation for team members to ensure they have adequate skills and resources to fulfill tasks and projects in line with GLP. You will also be carrying out risk assessments to identify any gaps within compliance and to determine suitable actions.
In your role, you will ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of laboratory materials and will contribute to recommendations for future investment in laboratory infrastructure to expand and align capability with planned growth of our business.
