We are currently looking for a Health Economics & Payer Evidence Director to join our Oncology Market Access and Pricing (OMAP) team, supporting our growing oncology pipeline, including assets moving into Phase 3.

The global OMAP team are a team of specialists with many different skills, aligned to a common objective - we lead by shaping the payer environment; build and deliver highly valued market access solutions to unlock the potential of our life changing medicines for patients.

This is accomplished by working with R&D, medical affairs, medical evidence, commercial, local markets and external partners and experts to ensure that credible and timely evidence and insights are available at every stage of the development and commercialisation process.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensure that the payer evidence plan is developed and/or validated at each investment decision, meets the needs of markets and payer archetypes, they are aligned with the clinical, medical and brand strategies, and they are endorsed by all relevant governance bodies

  • Provide payer evidence requirements into the compound development plan, including clinical trials, real world evidence, and post-launch data planning (anticipating key payer requirements) ensuring its implementation/delivery and communication

  • Deliver clear, customer-focused and robust payer evidence and analytic packages, including the Global Reimbursement Dossier

  • Represent the payer perspective on the labelling and regulatory activities team

  • Promote and lead the development of health economic models and payer evidence materials to support brand strategy as well as participate in the cross-functional Payer Team

  • Drive the publication policy to support payer needs, generate peer reviewed scientific publications, as well as effective communication of complex ideas for use with both payers and other stakeholders.

  • Interact with health technology appraisal authorities and key external experts in preparing materials for scientific advice and reimbursement submissions

Essential Requirements
  • Graduate degree in biomedical science, business, quantitative subject areas or economics.

  • Formal post-graduate degree (or equivalent applied work) in health economics or a related quantitative subject area, and work experience in this field.

  • Global payer evidence development and launch experience in oncology (including clinical trial and real world evidence design)

  • Ability to work both collaboratively and independently

  • Understand and apply different technical approaches

  • Wide understanding of different health care systems and implications on reimbursement and pricing

  • Ability to take people with you and bring the best out of others

Desirable Requirements
  • Ability to communicate technical matters in a clear, compelling and impactful way with others via a range of media (e.g. face to face, teleconferences, video conferences, formal presentations, strong scientific writing for reports, analysis plans and emails).

  • Substantial oncology therapy area experience

  • Experience in working in alliances
