As a business unit of RTI International, RTI Health Solutions (RTI HS) provides consulting and research expertise to pharmaceutical, biotechnology, diagnostics, and medical device companies. Located across the US and Europe, our staff have led projects in approximately 40 countries. Our research and consulting services focus on health economics and outcomes research.

Our various practice areas include: Market Access and Outcomes Strategy, Health Economics, Patient Centred Outcomes Assessment, Pharmacoepidemiology and Risk Management, Biostatistics, Clinical and Medical Services, Health Preference Assessment, and Surveys and Observational Studies.

We are currently seeking a Senior Research Associate to work with our Market Access and Outcomes Strategy team.

This position requires at least 2 years of experience in a market access consultancy, healthcare/medical communications agency or similar environment. Applicants must be able to understand clinical information and use that knowledge for the preparation of accurate and well written deliverables that clients require for internal and external purposes.

The work is structured on a project basis and will involve working on several different projects in different therapy areas at any given time. You will be responsible for contributing to literature reviews, global value dossiers, health technology assessment (HTA) submission dossiers, and other value communications. Additional tasks will include conducting desktop research to gather, appraise, and summarise appropriate evidence for incorporation into various documents or slide sets.

You should possess excellent written and verbal communication and organisational skills, have close attention to detail and should be able to work effectively as part of a team to support project work for European and US-based clients.

Qualifications:

  • Life sciences or medical degree, with at least 2 years of market access or health economics consultancy (or similar) experience
  • Experience writing HTA submissions, global value dossiers, and/or literature reviews
  • Knowledge of HTA requirements in at least 2 countries (e.g., England and Scotland)
  • Ability to communicate key elements of HTA submissions, including disease background and epidemiology, clinical data, systematic literature reviews
  • Capacity to collaborate with colleagues to communicate indirect treatment comparisons, cost-effectiveness and budget impact analyses
  • Excellent verbal communication skills and ability to collaborate with colleagues in a range of practice areas, including health economics, biostatistics, and patient-reported outcomes
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work effectively across multiple projects at the same time

Preferred (but not essential):

  • MSc or PhD

  • Working knowledge of reference management software (e.g., EndNote) and client review software (e.g., Veeva Vaults)
