IP Group Leader

Proclinical are currently seeking an IP Group Leader in Lausanne, who will be responsible for managing the Intellectual Property portfolio and leading the IP group of IP associates. This is an excellent opporutnity for a talented individual who is trying to establish their career in Intellectual Property.

Job Responsibilities

• Define IP strategy, and execute IP strategy aligned with Company's business strategy
• Manage IP portfolio (patent drafting, filing and prosecution including the coordination with inventors and outside patent counsels)
• Perform FTO analysis for new projects
• Competitor monitoring
• Proactively identify and assess potentially patentable inventions as well as support inventors in related activities
• Provide IP documentation for Due Diligence, Oppositions and Infringement assessments, and prepare IP information for Board Meetings
• Be IP contact for external collaborations and partnerships
• Manage IP budget
• Provide IP trainings to staff, and develop awareness on IP among staff

Skills and Requirements

• PhD or MSc. in Biology/Life Sciences, with a good knowledge of Chemistry
• 6-10 years' experience in IP management in pharmaceutical industry
• Demonstrated ability to synthesise, analyse and communicate key information
• Proven leadership qualifications
• Strong interpersonal skills for building networks with key experts and ensuring the interface with internal departments
• Ability to adapt priorities to meet company needs while maintaining effectiveness
• Leadership and project management skills
• Team player
• Good spoken and written English are required
