Job Description

Located in CBD ,Melbourne (Australia) and part of our commercial operations team we are actively recruiting for a Business Analyst.

In this dynamic role you will be reviewing and analysing business processes, creating efficiencies, be part of project teams and communicating technical information back to the business. You will be pivotal in implementing our commercial data warehouse requirements to I&T and to suppliers whilst also managing various reporting systems and promotional material warehouse.

Key responsibilities
  • Understand data architecture and be able to implement a data warehouse by liaising with I&T (global or local) and internal key stakeholders in the commercial team
  • Ability to interpret commercial reporting requirements and create specifications that are developed by the host of reporting systems (external supplier).
  • Create and design reports with market insight and KPI measures for management review.
  • Manage project timeline and communicate progress to key stakeholders.
  • Lead the processes of data cleansing and auditing.
  • Defining problem statements and identifying opportunities.
  • Participate in system improvement initiatives to optimise the business processes and practices in data integration solutions and analytics


To be successful in this role you will demonstrate
  • Technical experience and knowledge in data management related to Data Lakes, Cloud, Data Warehousing, Analytics and/or Business Intelligence.
  • Good understanding of data governance practises and methodologies.
  • Experience in designing and building reports to meet business needs / requirements, ensuring that business benefits are realised.
  • Familiarity with solutions for Business Intelligence (Power BI, Tableau, etc.) and Analytics (R, Python, etc)
  • Collaborates effectively with others and influences all stakeholders towards business outcomes.
  • Commercially savvy with exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
  • A natural self-motivator who effectively works as part of a team as well as independently.
  • Use your strong communication skills and attention to detail to deliver efficient and effective results to your internal customers, to enable them to achieve commercial outcomes.
  • Experience in working in an agile environment.


A tertiary qualification in Business or IT or related discipline is preferred.

5 years' experience in business analytics and analytical tools with at least 3 years' experience in developing data warehousing infrastructure, managing data, business processes and system experience with transactional sales data systems such as SAP and Oracle.

Knowledge of the Pharmaceutical Industry is desirable but not mandatory.
