Oxford Biomedica’s Warehouse and Supply Chain team are responsible for the all warehouse and storage activities, procurement and supply chain across all sites, working to GMP standards.

We are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Supervisor to join the team.  The purpose of this role is to organise all daily and weekly warehouse activity to support overall requirements of production, PR&D and research facilities.

 Your responsibilities in this role would be:

  • Ensuring all daily, weekly warehouse tasks are performed on time and in a compliant manner
  • Responsible for ensuring new changes are implemented
  • Updating and ensuring all SOPs and Validation procedures are current for warehouse operators.
  • Ensuring H&S Processes & Risk Assessments are followed within the team
  • Managing an allocated warehouse teams, organising and encouraging teamwork to ensure productivity targets are met or exceeded
  • Organising the recruitment and training of staff, as well as monitoring staff performance and progress
  • Organising all shutdown activities ensuring all freezers containing associated GMP materials ensuring cleaning and temperature compliance
  • Working with Supply Chain organise inventory monitoring and cycle counting procedures
  • Responding to and deal with internal customer communication by email and telephone
  • Planning future capacity requirements
  • Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and security in the work environment.
  • Oversee the planned maintenance of vehicles, machinery and equipment

To be successful in this role, you will have the following skills and experience:

  • Minimum GCSE’s Maths & English
  • Significant experience within Warehousing & Supply Chain
  • Previous experience working within regulated environments, eg Pharma or Food
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Previous working knowledge of GMP preferred
  • Knowledge of associated H&S Policy & Risk Assessments
  • People management skills, including the ability to lead and motivate others, delegate work and explain ideas
  • Planning and organisational skills – elaborate on this, proven experience in daily, weekly planning schedules
