Description:

We are looking for a Content Strategist to partner with product managers, researchers, product marketers and medical affairs to plan and create the content for AstraZeneca products and disease areas, continually improve that content, and evolve AstraZeneca's voice and content standards. We are seeking a hands-on content professional to provide content strategies for our Therapeutic Areas based on understanding of the customer journey and deep insights. The role requires the ability to define and drive content from initial strategy through to implementation and post-launch optimization. With the goal of defining an ecosystem and lifecycle of content to inform and improve engagement with physicians and patients in collaboration with our medical and marketing teams.

You will be able to plan and write content for mobile and web interfaces, including interaction flows, launch education materials, as well as apply consistent standards and elevate the overall quality of our work. You will engage with social listening, leverage customer research, to plan and lead the development of content maps and editorial calendars. You should possess a deep understanding of best practices for content creation and content management, taxonomy, metadata, content authoring workflows and should understand design thinking and user experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing all aspects of content strategy, from analysis and strategic planning to influencing the ongoing creation, maintenance, and governance of content that serves user needs and helps achieve measurable business objectives

  • Create content strategies to define the what, how much, when, where and why for content across multiple channels

  • Partner with medical and marketing on global projects

  • Learn and understand a broad range of TA data resources and know how, when, and which to use

  • Serve as Product Owner for Core Claims Guide and orchestrate initiation, refresh and updates across Medical and Marketing

  • Use data analysis, user research, benchmarking, social listening and content audits to identify high-impact improvement opportunities across all content areas

  • Perform and assist others in performing in-depth analysis and identification of opportunities to improve/create new content

  • Define content map and editorial calendars for area of interest to inform content development

  • Understanding of tagging of content for uploading into content management tools

  • Continuously interpret metrics that assess the efficacy of content

  • Make recommendations for new metrics, techniques, and strategies to improve content targeting and measurement

  • Think creatively to solve problems and drive innovation

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant field

  • Significant experience creating and editing content

  • Ability to collaborate with internal digital/medical/marketing teams to gather business requirements and translate them into effective, user-centered interactive approaches

  • Demonstrated experience using data analysis and metrics to validate assumptions and develop business cases

  • Project management experience in the web, IT, or content industry

  • Experience working with cross-functional teams

Highly desirable:

  • Experience working with a CMS platform

  • Intermediate HTML and/or XML skills

  • Experience with multivariate A/B testing

  • Understanding of rules for substantiating content (claims) and compliance frameworks

  • Solid understanding of taxonomy, metadata, keywords and search engine optimization (SEO)

  • Understanding of tagging strategies and taxonomy framework to dynamically relate content

  • A firm understanding of user experience and content marketing techniques

  • Social listening expertise
