This is an exciting opportunity to join our growing patient recruitment team!

ICON is recruiting a Director of Patient Recruitment in EU or US locations (home-based or office based)

As a Director of Patient Recruitment, you will expected to add towards a culture of group excellence with a focus on driving forward patient recruitment and retention strategies across ICON run trials.

You will be accountable for supporting the patient recruitment strategies in proposals and bid defences and be key client contact for patient recruitment on specific accounts. You will be developing successful client relationships and providing an oversight of budget, planning and delivering on strategy.

The role

  • Act as a member to the Patient Recruitment Leadership Team and provide input into the strategy for growth
  • Oversee the services delivered by the Patient Recruitment Planning Team. Liaise with all other stakeholders, both internal and external, to ensure that processes are streamlined and collaborative.
  • Act as subject matter expert in Patient Recruitment and Retention Planning process for internal and external customers and to provide strategic input to Patient Recruitment and Retention approach both in RFP stage , Bid Defences and during implementation
  • Manage the Patient Recruitment team for awarded studies by being accountable for overseeing the Patient Recruitment and Retention strategies proposed in align with sponsor requirements, resource demand/ capacity planning and budget oversight
  • Ensure appropriate oversight and outcomes delivered from patient recruitment vendor engagement

What you need

  • A minimum of 10 years industry experience, with a minimum of 5 years in patient recruitment
  • Awareness and understanding of using digital and social media tools for patient recruitment strategies
  • Strong verbal and written skills, executive presence and good business acumen
  • Bachelor's Degree in medicine, science or business/ communication, or your equivalent working experience
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% as needed
