We are looking for a Packaging Development Lead to join the Operations team based in South Africa. ( The successful candidate can be based anywhere in Europe - on-site time to be discussed with our client - travel expenses paid )

Title: Packaging Development Lead

Location: South Africa / home based

Description:

The Packaging Development Lead is accountable for developing the pkg and distribution configuration for the product.

Responsibility

• Develop regulatory/packaging design concept review, technology requirements
• Develop Secondary/Tertiary Packaging (Label, Carton, PI, Shipping Case, Pallet, Serialization) & DP Shippers Selected (Qualified shipping solution) while ensuring all destination countries laws and regulations are implemented (UN requirements in EU)
• Labeler, Cartoner & End of Line Engineering Runs & FAT
• Packaging Line Installation, Qualification & Testing (Distribution testing, SRV, PPQ)
• Tech Transfer Complete/Packaging Readiness for all destination countries

Essential

• Degree in Chemistry, Engineering, HSE Degree or similar
• 5 years in a similar role
• Excellent communication and organizational skills, able to work under pressure and tight deadlines
• Team-oriented with the ability to identify and implement qualitative improvements
• Fluent in English

Other

• Experience within the vaccine production
