Senior Quality Control Manager
My client, a Pharmaceutical Company based in Dublin now have a vacancy for a Senior Quality Control Manager
Reporting to the Head of Quality the role will offer an excellent competitive remuneration package which includes a company pension contribution, private healthcare along with flexible working hours.
Job Purpose: To manage the QC department
We need someone who can provide strong technical support, mentorship and supervision for release, stability, and in-process testing and analytical method development
As a Senior QC Manager a typical day will include the following:
- Managing the Quality Control team
- Managing a stability programme
- Overseeing data integrity and data governance procedures
- Managing, reviewing and handling analytical method development/validation
- Reviewing new test procedures
- Evaluating and bringing in new methodologies/techniques when needed
- Facilitating test method transfer to our parent company or other business partners
- Prioritising analytical method transfer internally and externally
- Participating in technical troubleshooting and problem investigation
- Reviewing analytical development reports and other technical documents for technical accuracy and regulatory compliance
- Participating in training programs for analysts
- Performing personnel management
- Overseeing day-to-day method performance in QC lab and identifying appropriate subject matter specialists to help with any method related issues
The Ideal candidate should have:
- 2 - 5 years’ experience managing a QC department within a pharmaceutical company
- Experience in the following analytical techniques: HPLC, UV and Dissolution testing
- A sound Knowledge of Empower Software
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- A science degree, preferably in Pharmaceutical Sciences
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills with good attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Good organisational skills and the ability to think logically and be proactive
