We are now recruiting for a professional engineer providing technical, project management and capital programme delivery across a portfolio of projects within our sterile manufacturing area.
You will lead a team 6-10 of engineers focused on improvement projects, whom you will coach and develop to help them achieve their potential. Their remits are:
- Leading minor capital projects, the capital and project portfolios for the PET (Process Execution Team);
- Supporting Production with problem solving
- Developing novel solutions to technical challenges from prototype to production
Engaging regularly with the Technical Lead, Engineering Lead and Maintenance Managers, you will work in partnership to maintain and improve asset robustness, capital and portfolio management. You will sit on the PET Technical Leadership Team and you will also be a member of the Macclesfield Engineering Leadership Team.
You'll help set direction for the PET project portfolio, prioritising projects, planning cross-function resource requirements and defining the capital programme for the next 5 years. Additionally, you will be accountable for developing and delivering the strategy for ongoing compliant support for the automated systems within sterile manufacturing.
Looking to the future, you will play an instrumental part in how value is delivered into the organisation. Through a robust strategy you develop, you will define how to fully utilise the tools available within the team, and the introduction of new techniques to bring ever higher levels of efficiency to project delivery and process performance.
You will have significant & relevant delivery experience of asset & process improvement practices within a highly-regulated environment. Ideally this would include experience in roles such as maintenance and project management.
We're looking for a Chartered Engineer (or working towards chartership) with an appropriate engineering institution and a relevant technical/engineering degree.
You'll have relevant experience of DMAIC (ideally Lean Six Sigma certified green belt) and associated problem solving tools. A good working knowledge and experience of applying Lean methodologies is crucial.
Mechanical Design and the use of novel digital technologies, such as 3D simulation and printing, is becoming an ever increasingly important aspect of process optimisation and problem solving. You'll have relevant experience of device and / or machine design, with a firm understanding of FMEA, FMECA, DFM / DFA and FEA, with a demonstrable track record of application in challenging environments.
An understanding of Sterile Manufacture and Regulatory requirements is desirable.
