Main Duties and Responsibilities:

We are looking for a Sample Co-Ordinator to join our Laboratory Services department.

You will manage receipt and dispatch of samples within Simbec-Orion's Laboratory Services department to enable samples to be analysed internally, prepared for referral to an external vendor laboratory or stored appropriately. You will be responsible for maintaining sample storage logs and discard with supporting documentation and ensure a high level of QC check to ensure all documentation is compliant with SOP's and guidelines. You will liaise directly with sites, project managers and CRAs to resolve queries allowing the results to be reported in a timely manner.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Experience in sample preparation within a laboratory environment
  • Science A level or equivalent
  • Good attention to detail with QC experience

  • Science Degree or equivalent
  • Previous experience in working in an MHRA GCP and or ISO 17025 laboratory
  • Knowledge of sample tube type and processing requirements
  • Knowledge of ALCOA
