Main Duties and Responsibilities:
We are looking for an Associate Network Engineer to join our Business Systems Group in Merthyr Tydfil.
You'll have a responsibility under the guidance of the Network Engineer for setting up and maintaining computer networks within the organisation. You'll offer support to users, who can be employees, clients, customers and suppliers, and troubleshoot any problems that may arise. This will also include rolling out new projects plans under the guidance of the Network Engineer.

Minimum Requirements:
Essential:
- Bachelor's degree in a computer-related discipline such as computer science, computer software/computer systems engineering, computer systems and networks, network security management, etc.
- Experience of communication protocols (Mainly TCP/IP) and routing protocols (e.g. BGP, OSPF)
- Strong familiarity with control models and system security
- Strong understanding of system working frameworks (Cisco IOS)
- Attention t o detail and strong ability to detect n etwork issues quickly
- Excellent communication skills, particularly the ability to communicate with employees who aren't technically trained.
Desirable:
- Cisco Certification Program - CCENT, CCNA, CCNP, CCIE
- CompTIA Certifications - CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+
- Microsoft Certifications - MCSA, MCSE
