Our Medical Communications team delivers across a spectrum of work with the aim of translating complex science into compelling messages that deliver value and action. Our credentialed Medical Education Consultants provide clients with strategic insight and innovative medical communications solutions for even the most complex products and diseases. We provide content that can be syndicated across all media and channels to deliver solutions to enhance patient care.

The primary purpose of this role is to act as a partner to our clients and to deliver client service excellence by leading by example. In addition to  driving high levels of satisfaction and seeking out new business opportunities as the main senior point of contact. 

Focus would be on ensuring smooth running of client services teams and accountability for meeting the business objectives of the clients both strategically and financially. Would be seen as a key ambassador for the company and it’s values.

Responsibilities will include:

Responsibilities

•Oversee and lead the Account Groups in order to manage and grow existing client accounts

•Develop commercial opportunities with existing clients maximising account and revenue growth

•Build a pipeline of future work and ensure that the company’s client revenue target is achieved

•Support the identification and conversion of new business opportunities

•Input into the strategic direction and associated tactics of client accounts based on a strong understanding of their marketing and business objectives

•Obtain client feedback and drive increases in client satisfaction and engagement

•Manage tracking and reporting of revenue and resourcing to support team growth

•Negotiate beneficial and competitive budgets with clients and procurement teams

•Manage tracking and reporting of performance to ensure team accountability and quality of service

•Identify opportunities for business across the agencies family and participates in cross business pitches

•Provide strategic guidance to team to enable successful project execution & identify & address potential issues

•Responsible for leading a number of account teams, including the establishment and maintenance of quality standards, cost efficiency and working practices
•Actively input into the development of our business strategy based on an understanding of the medical communications market and client service management

•Actively contribute and lead wider team initiatives in order to upskill individuals and drive collaboration across the unit

•Foster cross-unit working and collaboration across the agencies Health Communications divisions

•Collaborate with senior leadership team,, helping to shape the future of the business unit and taking on appropriate responsibilities for the smooth running of the wider medical communications team

•Take ownership in developing mid-level staff and develop and guide them on how to be future leaders

•Lead constructively into reviews and objective setting for members of your team, and ensure these are completed at all times required by agency practice

•Ensure training needs are met


 

Job Requirements

•Degree Educated within a scientific discipline (or equivalent) 

•Good organizational and administration skills

•Strong communications skills
•Line management experience

•Ability to work in a fast paced environment

•Strong attention to detail and good proof reading skills

•Solution focused – suggestion of ideas and recommendations where appropriate

•Able to lead a team effectively and manage upwards

•Demonstrates strong leadership skills

•Able to demonstrate influencing skills and abilities

•Good Financial & commercial acumen

•Knowledge of pharma regulations (ABPI)

•Ability to use Powerpoint, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
