SALES MANAGER UK

Cleanroom & Clean Air Services and Products

Our client is a leading Supplier of Cleanroom & Clean Air Services, Validation, Maintenance & Spare Parts to the UK & Europe, and due to significant demand and growth are seeking an experienced Sales Manager to generate further business leads and with a career development path to Sales Director in 2-3 years time.

The Sales position covers 2 companies (Services and Sales) and are divided into;
o Minor one off sales and breakdowns
o Director consultancy
o Tenders and large projects
o Maintenance contracts
o Minor one off sales
o Fumigation contracts

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE:
* Science degree in a relevant subject preferred
* 5+ years' experience in a sales role with a clear track record and understanding of the cleanroom or Air Flow sector (Hospitals, Pharmaceutical, Research laboratories, Research Centres, Universities)
. To penetrate market, identify and generate further business leads
* Impeccable communication skills
* Be a dynamic self-starter who is able to work to an agreed sales and business plan and targets without day to day supervision
* Be able to tailor the product range to the relevant market and to identify and propose new products and services relevant to those markets

The duties of the Sales Manager shall include but not be limited to:

CRM & MARKETING:
1. In conjunction with other office staff maintaining an up to date CRM system
2. Ensuring that all incoming enquiries are promptly dealt with by the Sales Manager or other staff through quotation to close
3. In conjunction with the Group Sales Director and Group Marketing Manager, developing and where necessary assisting the Group Marketing Manager to execute a comprehensive outbound marketing plan to promote the Sales; reviewing with the Group Marketing Manager the success of the marketing programme and where necessary making changes to improve performance
4. Assisting where necessary and with the relevant technical specialists the up-dating and development of all marketing collateral

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT & SALES:
1. Proposing targeted business development programmes for inclusion in the marketing plan and executing the same
2. Recovering lapsed accounts
3. Maintaining contact with unsuccessful quotes to capture future business
4. Revisiting back book of open quotes (£650/- at 8/16) to produce sales
5. Cross selling between both companies and their customers
6. Cross selling between different departments of existing customers where both companies do not enjoy full customer penetration
7. Cross selling between the Group and both companies customers
8. Upselling other services to contract customers
9. Ensuring all PO's are passed to the Scheduler for scheduling

ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT:
1. Securing renewal of both companies maintenance contracts through account management
2. Reviewing maintenance contract pricing (contracts to be issued by other office staff)
3. Assisting where necessary the Managing Director in resolving customer complaints in a satisfactory manner

SALES DOCUMENTATION:
1. Reviewing all quotation, sale and contract documentation to ensure that it is as user friendly as possible, maintaining the same
2. Building a comprehensive quotation model in conjunction with the Groups Sales Director to ensure that both companies services are priced for maximum commercial efficiency

LARGE TENDERS:
1. Taking front line responsibility for ensuring that both companies receive all tenders relevant to their product and service range
2. In conjunction with other office staff, supervising PQ activity
3. Taking front line responsibility for all large quotation and tenders responses ensuring that where relevant, a compliant quote is issued
4. Chasing tender responses, dealing with queries etc.

REPORTING
1. Preparing a monthly sales report for Board meetings and attending the same
2. Preparing a monthly report to the Group sales and marketing meeting and attending the same
3. Liaising where necessary to resolve queries with the Financial controller
4. Working with the parts coordinator to see part sales targets are delivered

QUALITY:
1. Ensuring the sales process is represented in quality processes

SALES STRATEGY:
1. Developing and agreeing a sales strategy and plan with the Group Sales Director and executing the same
2. Developing the annual sales budget and participating in the Group budgeting process
