Clinical Research Physician - CRO

Compass Life Sciences are working in partnership with a leading UK CRO, supporting in their search for a Clinical Research Physician. In this role, our client is looking for a Qualified Physician who is interested in moving into a career in Clinical Research. Candidates must have GMC registration with license to practice in the UK and 2 years in experience in NHS post FY2.

Requirements   
 
Must have GMC registration with a licence to practice and Full medical training
Minimum of 2 years' experience in NHS post FY2
The ability to apply good clinical knowledge and judgement
Great communication skills
Interest in pursuing a career in the pharmaceutical sector
Patient orientated, with a great bedside manner and make a difference attitude
 
This role will be working in an early phase clinical trials unit, participating in Phase I and Phase II trials. You will be involved in 3 main clinical areas: the screening/outpatient ward where you will be based and 2 'inpatient' wards.    
Daily tasks include but are not limited to:
 
Physical patient checks (checking any study requirement checks)
Assess vital signs
Carry out ECGs
Ask patients about medical history
Ensure pre-screening questionnaire is completed and correct
Complete the electronic volunteer database system (VDB) with findings from screening
Ensuring patients meet requirements for study and be familiar of study protocols
 
Our client is offering great training and progression opportunities. You will be trained in correct procedures of Clinical Trials. In addition to this there will be three main assessments that will form a part of your training and probationary period. On completion of each of these assessments you will receive an additional enhancement of £200 per month (up to £7200pa).
