Head of Medical Affairs & Clinical Development – Diabetes

I’m partnered with a global pharmaceutical company in Germany looking for a board certified expert in either internal medicine/endocrinology/diabetes to join a world leading, blockbuster portfolio.  This person will be the leader, responsible for developing and delivering breakthrough therapies and unmet medical needs for patients, as well as a multi-functional team of experts.

Tasks & Responsibilities

• Responsibility for the overall strategic medical plans within the designated therapeutic area
• Ensure alignment on scientific platforms and other medical communication strategies
• As the Head of the TA, you are the key decision maker working with VP and Executive level management team members

• Work in alignment with internal committee’s with regard to your area of responsibility
• Work cross functionally with Marketing, Market Access and other influential teams with the common goal, contributing towards the overall strategy
• Review and approve final brand plans and scientific engagement plans/publications adhering to procedures
• Lead the teams collaboration with internal regional management and external sources as well as internal and external stakeholders to ensure insights are appropriately reflected across the medical plans
• Leading and managing your team as well as establishing training and development needs within

Requirements

• Medical Doctor
• Internal medicine specialist, Endocrinologist, Diabetologist or other certification

• Strong experience in a global medical affairs & clinical development environment
• Experience working in a cross functional team and leading from the front
• Long standing experience in the industry with a profound knowledge in Cardiometabolism
• Experience registering products at global level
• Must speak fluent English
