Type: Permanent, Full Time

Location: Cheshire, Macclesfield

Salary: £29,000- £40,000

I am partnered with an exciting, global medical communications agency specialising in delivering innovative medical education and communication programs to some of the top businesses within the healthcare industry. Due to new business and growth, they are looking for experienced writers who are keen to make a difference to patient treatments and outcomes who can join them in creating engaging materials across a variety of different therapy areas. This opportunity will provide you with access to fantastic training and development, alongside an established and friendly team to learn from and offers flexible/ remote work options.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the production and delivery of a variety of projects/ programmes (publications planning, medical education, digital, creative) that is in line with project brief and account style.
  • Provide assistance to other members in the team by editing and reviewing work, giving feedback and mentoring where needed.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of therapy areas/ pharmaceutical industry understanding and be able to think strategically in order to meet client needs and build strong relationships.
  • Assist in the growth of existing accounts and development of new accounts by contributing to new business proposals and meetings.

Skills Required for the position:

  • A BSc in Life Sciences with either an MSc or PhD and previous medical writing experience within a medical communications agency.
  • Demonstrable high quality written ability and therapy area knowledge.
  • Strong communication, presentation, organisation and team skills.
  • Good attention to detail and time management skills.
  • Strategic thinking, commercial awareness and ability to mentor junior members of the team.
