Description:
TalentSource Life Sciences, the division of CROMSOURCE dedicated to flexible staffing solutions, is currently recruiting for a Supply Chain Coordinator to join our client-based team. This is for one of the leading global biopharmaceutical companies, with a focus on Neurology and Immunology.

This is a permanent, office based position in the Berkshire area, with some flexibility to work from home 2 days per week after the initial induction period. We can consider Freelancers but this role will fall within IR35.

Scope of the role:

The Supply Chain Coordinator will contribute to the efficient operation of UK & Ireland business objectives and vision by ensuring that Supply Chain Management processes determined at group level are followed and implemented locally whilst considering local characteristics and regulations.

Job specific tasks and responsibilities:
  • Manage flow of bulk product from US manufacturer to UK secondary packager via UK 3PL
  • Coordinate sample shipments from UK 3PL to Belgian testing facility
  • Apply for import/export licenses with UK Home Office for all shipments of bulk product and finished packs flowing through UK
  • Endorse actual quantities imported/exported to UK Home Office and prepare annual control drug return for submission to UK Home Office
  • Provide accurate report to US authority with regards to batches/quantities re-exported
  • Ensure specified reports are completed including weekly stock report, monthly unit sales, month end reconciliations and any other ad hoc requirements
  • In collaboration with the Associate Director of Supply Chain, the demand forecast owner and/or development, gather, challenge and manage sales forecast for relevant products in order to establish every month a feasible production plan for your CMO's, meeting service level, capacity utilization and inventory target levels
  • Follow-up real production vs plan and take necessary actions (root cause analysis, production plan revision, coordination meeting) in order to meet service level, capacity utilization, and inventory target level
  • Coordinate and accelerate product flows with purchasing, production, sub-contractors, warehousing, QC, QA and transports departments together with planner & scheduler to ensure sufficient product availability to BII Affiliate
  • Utilise SAP to ensure robust effective planning process. Raise Purchase Requisitions and Purchase Orders in SAP as required from the planning process
  • Maintain and update supply chain SKU data in all global systems: SAP, OMP, VISA, Master Product Database
  • Liaise with 3PL to ensure accurate inventory receipt, storage and distribution of finished products to customers through SAP interface files for UK and Ireland
  • Liaise with wholesalers to ensure they hold sufficient inventory to support patient requirements at pharmacy/hospital level
  • Attend meetings, as required, to ensure cross-functional alignment throughout the affiliate to ensure continual supply of products. i.e. Change Control, EB-QRS, 3PL, SIOP Meetings
  • Follow up on KPI's to improve efficiency on: Product Availability, Forecast Accuracy, Inventory Levels, Days out of Stock


Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree Preferred
  • APICS - desirable but not essential
  • 1-2 years experience in a Supply Chain role for a manufacturing operation, preferably in the Pharma/Healthcare industry
  • 1-2 years SAP/ERP experience (preferred Modules: SD -MM - PP) including reporting and data mining


Skills:
  • Effective planning skills are essential for this position
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities and work with minimal supervision
  • Excellent communication (oral and written), diplomatic, interpersonal, presentation, and organizational skills
  • Effective organisation skills
  • Numerate and accuracy with figures essential
