Business Development Manager - Obesity - Northern Ireland
For almost 100 years, our client has been translating the unmet medical needs of people living with a serious chronic disease into innovative medicines and delivery systems. They are discovering and developing innovative biological medicines and making them accessible to patients throughout the world.
Their treatments today are benefiting millions of people living with diabetes, obesity, and rare blood and endocrine diseases.
An opportunity now exists within their expanding Obesity team to grow sales of their portfolio within the private market. You will be accountable for securing sales, developing new accounts and servicing existing accounts to improve access to high quality and good value private weight management services that will improve outcomes for patients living with obesity and its associated conditions.
Your client base will be a broad range of clinical and non-clinical stakeholders providing private weight management services including;
- Regional pharmacy chains, superintendent pharmacists, business development pharmacists and other pharmacy decision makers
- Aesthetic Medicine Clinics, including slimming clinics, clinic business managers and all relevant HCP's
- Private Hospitals, Private Specialists, business development managers in private hospitals, including exploration of obesity treatment opportunities within the PHI segment
- Regional short-line wholesalers/pharmacies
Your suitability for the role will be defined by your previous successes from a sales/account management role from within the UK pharmaceutical industry.
ABPI qualified with a natural ability to sell, you will be excited by the opportunity to take an entrepreneurial approach to your "business" and provide true value to patients and health care professionals. It is essential that you are organised, driven and have the ability to develop strong relationships with customers. It would also be desirable if you have had either prior experience working within the diabetes market.
