Job Details
Our client is seeking a Principal Medical Writer to join their medical communications team and work over a range of materials. This role can be fully remote, although candidates still need to be based in the UK and be fully eligible for work.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
- Degree Educated
- Ability to use PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel
- Has detailed knowledge of at least two therapy areas, knowledge that extends beyond the specific product they work on
- Has an emerging point of view on the role of medical communications agencies and the healthcare industry
- Provide regular input to general management of their accounts, including financial and long-term planning
- Strong communications skills, especially in written form
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong understanding of the pharmaceutical drug development and approval process
Responsibilities:
- Personally, handles multiple, complex projects
- Build relationships, and liaise effectively, with clients and external experts
- Solution focused – suggestion of ideas and recommendations were appropriate
- Outstanding ability to write at a level appropriate to the target audience
- Demonstrates thorough research & understanding of the therapeutic area & scientific/market environment
- Develop and deliver scientifically high-quality content
- Responsible for the daily accurate input of all hours worked onto timesheets for oneself and teams
- Gain an understanding of client and competitor products, portfolio, and commercial strategy
