Freelance Principal Medical Writer

Albion Rye Associates are seeking an experienced Principal Medical Writer for a large global agency based in Central London.

Our client is seeking a Principal Medical Writer to join their medical communications team and work over a range of materials. This role can be fully remote, although candidates still need to be based in the UK and be fully eligible for work.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

• Degree Educated
• Ability to use PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel
• Has detailed knowledge of at least two therapy areas, knowledge that extends beyond the specific product they work on
• Has an emerging point of view on the role of medical communications agencies and the healthcare industry
• Provide regular input to general management of their accounts, including financial and long-term planning
• Strong communications skills, especially in written form
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong understanding of the pharmaceutical drug development and approval process

Responsibilities:

• Personally, handles multiple, complex projects
• Build relationships, and liaise effectively, with clients and external experts
• Solution focused – suggestion of ideas and recommendations were appropriate
• Outstanding ability to write at a level appropriate to the target audience
• Demonstrates thorough research & understanding of the therapeutic area & scientific/market environment
• Develop and deliver scientifically high-quality content
• Responsible for the daily accurate input of all hours worked onto timesheets for oneself and teams
• Gain an understanding of client and competitor products, portfolio, and commercial strategy
