Main Duties and Responsibilities:

We are looking for a Financial Reporting & Compliance Accountant to join our Group Finance department based in Merthyr Tydfil or based remotely within the UK.

You will support the Financial Reporting & Compliance Team in building and maintaining a rigorous financial control environment across the business to ensure that the Group is compliant with its accounting requirements in each of the countries in which it operates and in.

You will also work alongside the wider Group Finance Team, ensuring the Group's Financial accounting is accurately completed on a timely basis and be involved in continuous process improvement across the team. Provide support to the reporting team for external audit, tax compliance and a variety of country-specific requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

Essential:
  • AAT or equivalent
  • Qualified: ACCA, CIMA, ICAEW
  • Previous experience of intracompany reconciliations and multiple currencies
  • Previous experience of producing a completed Trial Balance
  • Microsoft Excel proficient i.e. able to perform look ups and pivot tables for analysis
  • Highly motivated and driven, continuously looking to improve the standards and strive for excellence
  • Strong communication skills across all levels of seniority.


Desirable:

  • Experience of VAT returns and controls
  • Analysis of foreign exchange
  • Experience of a change environment whereby processes, controls and systems are evolving
