Account Director – Patient Support

Location – London, UK

Who are we looking for?

Our client is a global provider of consulting and outsourcing services. 

Due to considerable expansion we are looking for an experienced Senior account manager, from a communications agency setting, with previous experience designing and delivering patient insights, journey mapping, strategy and programme design services to join their communications team.  This role will involve providing senior leadership for a range of domestic and international clients.

Key responsibilities

  • Providing snr level subject matter expertise across Patient Support, forming strategic relationships with snr level contacts internally, to drive new business forward.
  • Taking responsibility for a portfolio of patient support accounts, developing growth strategy
  • Taking responsibility for existing accounts and building these out further
  • Leading the delivery of customer accounts as well as leading programme strategy, developing long-term key relationships.
  • Being accountable for financial management of accounts as well as leadership of business proposals, coordinating team members and delivering presentations
  • Maintaining strong industry profile, becoming a recognised and respected point of contact.

What skills will help to be successful in this role?

  • Excellent understanding of biopharmaceutical lifecycle strategy with regards to patient and wider medical communications
  • Previous experience designing and delivering patient insights, journey mapping, strategy and programme design services in a communications agency setting
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build and develop new working relationships in particular to help drive new business.
  • Previous experience working and successfully collaborating in a global organisation
  • Demonstrated experience of proactive risk management using performance data
