Job Description

The Senior Associate Analyst, Business Insights and Analytics, is responsible for the analysis and reporting of market performance for Biogen's brands, within Australia and New Zealand.  In addition, this role will be responsible for top-line financial forecasting and demand planning, and for market research projects relating to Biogen's current and pipeline products.  

Principal Accountabilities in this role:

Insight Generation 
  • Generation of daily, weekly and monthly reports.  Including generation of monthly sales & marketing review reports using all available data sources  
  • Monitoring of performance of Biogen products and generate insights from data.  Communication of insights to key stakeholders 
  • Support brand teams in incorporating analytics to business decisions and ensuring market understanding  
  • Support the development of product strategy and tactics 
  • In collaboration with Senior Product Managers, design and execute against market research plans.   
  • Manage the entire market research process including brief development, agency selection and liaison and presentation of results 
  • Ensure results are best utilised by brand teams and assist in generating meaningful insights to assist with strategy development and execution 
  • Support with development and execution of Field Force Effectiveness (FFE) reporting, through close collaboration with the Veeva CRM Analyst. Propose and implement enhancements to CRM data capture processes where applicable.
  • Deliver robust forecasts for Annual Operating Plan (AOP), Long range planning and re-forecasts throughout the planning cycles.  Assist with scenario planning where required.  Work with finance and key stakeholders to ensure consistency across the forecasts.  
  • Assist with business planning and business reviews  
  • Align forecasts with finance to support supply/demand forecasts 
  • Generate patient-based or demand-based forecast models for pipeline products as required  
  • Create and update performance dashboard to update field, brand and leadership teams 
  • Ensure correct integration of different data sources  
  • Enhancement of reports using all available data sources  
  • Coordinate required reports for company reporting purposes (local and global) 


To demonstrate success in this role you will be university degree/ bachelor's degree and have been working with a minimum of 2 years of relevant marketing experience in the Healthcare/pharmaceutical industry. Proven strong analytical skills and proficiency in MS Excel and MS PowerPoint, familiarity with data bases.
