This role is based in our new modern state of the art office in Nottingham city centre which has excellent transport links and has a great working environment and the feel of an innovative technology company.

Job Purpose:
This role is responsible for collaborating with the R&D function within PAREXEL Informatics Engineering, including software and infrastructure design, ensuring quality and performance standards are met.

Key Accountabilities:
  • Animation development
  • Develops conceptual structures into design blueprints, typically using tools such as interaction diagrams and wireframes, to create high-level structures and runtime architectures for websites. Manages iterations of level design and storytelling, documenting overall flow and architecture of a game or similar system.
  • Business analysis
  • Takes responsibility for investigative work to determine business requirements and specify effective business processes, through improvements in information systems, information management, practices, procedures, and organisation change.
  • Business process testing
  • Designs and manages tests of new/updated processes. Specifies test environment for whole life-cycle testing (e.g. using model office concept).
  • User experience analysis
  • Analyses the implications of the context of use for system development. Advises on tools and methods to be used and clarifies and communicates the user experience, users' characteristics and tasks, and the technical, organisational and physical environment in which products or systems will operate. Advises on interpretation of the organisation's branding for new digital environments.
  • User experience design
  • Collaborates with colleagues from other disciplines to define technology objectives, assess solution options and devise architectural solutions that both achieve strategic business goals and meet operational requirements.
  • Creates design briefs for new web and digital projects or refreshes of existing projects.
  • Develops visual user experiences across digital assets, working with project teams to present propositions and strategies.
  • User experience evaluation
  • Plans and performs all types of evaluation, in order to check that stakeholder and organisational requirements have been met, choosing between formative and summative usability tests.
  • Selects and administers moderated or unmoderated usability tests.
  • Tests developing systems to ensure compatibility with user requirements, tasks and environment, as defined in agreed specifications.
  • Qualifications

    Skills:
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • A flexible attitude with respect to work assignments and new learning
  • Ability to manage multiple and varied tasks with enthusiasm and prioritize workload with attention to detail.
  • Shows Initiative and self-confidence, is adaptable and is able to cope with changing and evolving priorities.
  • Must have the ability to work methodically in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment
  • Manages provision of consultancy services. In own areas of expertise, provides advice and guidance to consultants and/or the customer or other stakeholders through involvement in the delivery of consultancy services
  • Maintains an in-depth knowledge of specific specialism in the field, and provides expert advice regarding their application..
  • Knowledge and Experience:
  • Applied framework and good practices like OWASP (Open WEB Application Security Project), ISO 24772
  • Applied methods like threat modeling applied to software development
  • Applied and managed security risk for software development
  • Strong automation skills, process improvement skills and performance testing
  • Understanding of Agile methodologies (preferably Scrum)
  • Education:
  • Degree in Life Sciences, Engineering, or Computer Science field, or equivalent.
