Director, Clinical Development

Barrington James are looking for a Director, Clinical Development who will work with our Biotech client to develop new standards for conducting clinical studies. This role will allow you to work on identifying new & promising indications whilst developing new strategies. You will also work closely on designing clinical development programs and overseeing study logistics, monitoring & data management. This role will need someone who can travel into the office in Munich frequently. 

Responsibilities:

• Together with your team you will work on the identification of new and promising indications
• You design the clinical development programs and are involved in the creation of the relevant dossier.
• In addition to the conception of the study designs and the preparation of the study applications, you control the implementation of the clinical studies and the communication with the authorities.
• You will develop an efficient strategy and the associated reporting process for patient and doctor recruitment.
• While the clinical studies are being carried out, you will oversee the study logistics, monitoring and data management.

Essential Experience:

• Excellent understanding of drug development requirements and activities involving Nonclinical, Clinical, CMC, Regulatory Affairs, and Commercial aspects
• Proven track record in project leadership from Phase I-III 
• Experience in leadership, specifically in leading and managing cross-functional development teams
• Knowledge of resource and headcount planning and management
•  Ability to translate a strategic vision into a project plan with associated activities and timelines
• Excellent organizational skills including knowledge of project management tools
• Excellent decision-making skills
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Ability to lead, to give guidance and to motivate and develop project team members
• Ability to manage complexity
• Ability to integrate people and opinions, to derive consolidated plans and to resolve conflicts
