Senior Health Policy and Government Affairs Manager (m/w/x)

i-Pharm Consulting is currently partnered with a subsidiary of a leading Swiss pharmaceutical firm, and they are in search of a Senior Health Policy and Government Affairs Manager to join their team. The Senior Health Policy and Government Affairs Manager will be a part of the leadership team and will hold an integral role in the definition of corporate public affairs strategy and business development and discussion. Furthermore they will be responsible for shaping and representing the political interest of the firm to various political stakeholders in Germany in regards to the firm's specialized cancer therapy treatments.This position will be strongly focused on but not limited to lobbying, policy shaping, political advocacy,and building and developing strategic partnerships. It will be the overall goal of the Senior Health Policy and Government Affairs Manager to align the interests of the firm with the interests of the firm's strategic partners.

The Senior Health Policy and Government Affairs Manager can be based anywhere in Berlin, Munich, Düsseldorf, Bonn or the Frankfurt region.

Responsibilities:

    Lead the development and the implementation of the government affairs strategyDevelop the health policy strategy in alignment with the commercial teams, medical and market access teams Monitor and report on any changes or developments that will pose a potential threat to the interests of the drug product. Consult the commercial team on potential political hurdles and opportunities that might impact the product portfolio Provide timely updates to colleagues on key policy topics and political developments on both a national and supranational level. Identify, engage and lobby key health policy stakeholders on a national level Develop and maintain strategic relationships with KOLs and varying interest groups * Lead specific initiatives as part of the overall cross-functional strategy.

Requirements:

    Master Degree in Law, Political Science, Social Sciences, Business or any other related fieldFLUENCY IN GERMAN AND ENGLISH IS A MUST5+ years working experience in a GA/international relations/public affairs or related business setting with significant international exposure in US and/or Europe and/or Asia and/or Latin AmericaProven history of developing impactful GA strategies &/or Market Access strategies to meet external stakeholder needs Excellent understanding of biotech and / or pharma business model and the drug development processUnderstanding of key topics in healthcare and politicsAbility to understand and translate scientific/oncology concepts into political stakeholders Strong external representation and negotiation skillsWillingness to travel
