Represents or oversees representation for the Company in all employment legal proceedings. Analyzes legal and regulatory employment issues affecting the Company and assists in the development of institutional HR policy compliance. Advises executive and senior management on employment legal issues of significant importance to the Company’s business operations. 

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1. Represents the Company in contract and issue resolution discussions with customers, vendors, and other relevant business entities. Negotiates, supervises, or provides advice regarding negotiation of settlements involving complex legal issues or transactions on behalf of the Company.

2. Provides legal counsel and guidance to executive and senior management on employment legal matters relevant to the Company. Coordinates and collaborates with external legal counsel as required to provide legal services; manage workloads; and provide advice and guidance for:

  • customer projects; 
  • corporate acquisitions;
  • employment disputes.

3. Oversees or may personally draft, review and recommend policies and procedures, resolutions and other documents related to governance, regulatory compliance, and business operations of the Company and affiliated entities relating to HR and employment law.

4. Anticipates and identifies legal issues of concern, and develops legal strategies and solutions, often in situations of material financial risk or significance relating to employment and personnel. With limited time for assessing alternatives, provides advice to executive and senior management for strategic planning purposes.

5. Oversees or may personally draft and review contracts and related documents for confidentiality of proprietary information, employment, independent contractors

6. Analyzes a broad range of complex laws and regulations affecting the Company in areas of employment legal in Germany); prepares opinions of counsel as needed.

7. Advises Company on personnel training in areas of legal specialty and assists in development of training materials.

8. Approves courses of action on all management / human resources’ matters, including salary administration; employment hires, transfers, terminations; performance appraisals and professional development; job description preparation, and employee counseling in Germany. Works with and advises staff on administrative policies and procedures, technical problems, priorities and methods relating to employment law and HR.

 

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:

Performs other work-related duties as assigned. Minimal travel may be required (up to 25%). 

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Qualified and registered lawyer in Serbia. 
  • Experience effectively managing legal staff and supervising activities of outside legal resources required.
  • Thorough knowledge of Employment Law is necessary. 
  • Demonstrated proficiency with draft and review of diverse employment documents in Serbia.
  • Flexibility and the ability to handle multiple tasks to meet deadlines delivering high quality work in a dynamic environment is essential.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, documentation and interpersonal skills as well as a team-oriented approach required.
  • Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite, MS Project, Email and Internet are necessary.
